This is a program developed in an alternate era of space exploration fueled by a desperate, yet optimistic goal: the search for a new home called Eden.

The Frontier Administration Technical Career Aptitude Test, or FATCAT, was built by a programmer who was no expert in developing for what was, at the time, brand new technology like data visualizing terminals, but she learned a lot along the way. The program was meant to be used by potential applicants to the Frontiers Administration (F.A.) and asked questions that assessed the user's personality and skills-preferences to match them to one of twenty-four potential careers.

In a time of impending distress and economic uncertainty, the promise of a job with an emerging and well funded organization like the F.A. was captivating. Not to mention, with the environment in ecological freefall, the prospect of escaping Earth in the search for Eden was at worst, an escapist fantasy and at best, truly, the path to delivering salvation to all of humanity.

Now you can take the very same quiz that helped launch thousands into space and beyond. It's recommended that you answer the questions honestly with sincere thought behind it, but, you are welcome to take the quiz in any way you like as often as you like.

This program is in BETA and may receive updates to address potential bugs and new features, but its future, much like our own, is uncertain. It is best enjoyed as it is.
